The Celtic Challenge Cup 2009
Once again Wales continued their winning streak in 2009 by successfully defending The Celtic Challenge Cup and Celtic Youth Challenge held at Aberavon. This year’s competition saw interest from a French team for the first time and despite the inclement weather and poor sea conditions they certainly made their presence felt both during and after the competition.
A positive mix of experience and youth produced an accomplished show from all concerned.
The ladies of the French team provided the biggest crowd seen at a beach flags final for many years and they certainly set about amassing the points during the morning’s events.
